Felthos Foundry started out as Gizmos for Geeks in the summer of 2004. GfG was started by a couple of systems administrators who wanted to take their skills and apply them to something a bit different from their ‘day jobs’ and turn it into a full-blown gig of its own. Since then, we’ve grown into a network of blogs and other websites. Gizmos for Geeks is still the flagship blog of the Felthos Blog Network.
After the success of Gizmos for Geeks, the Geeks tried a few different bloggers to open additional sites and have found some true winners with greenmeadows providing chief writing and editting for Gizmos for Cooks (and maybe another site coming up soon) and Lisalu providing chief writing and editting for Gizmos for Babies and Gizmos for Kids.
